Duane picked up a golf
club at age 12. By age 15, he had carded a 69 with 17 GIR’s. For his
science fair projects he conducted advanced statistics utilizing DOE experiments
and was awarded Silver Medallist at Canada-Wide (National) Science Fair
competition. At age 14 (grade 9), Duane was a keynote speaker at
International Taguchi Methods Symposium on robust design, following VP of Ford
on stage. For his high school project, he evaluated 16 Sand Wedges and
determined his unique fitting parameters. His overall putting distance
fell 16% for lower stroke average.
While in high school,
Duane functioned as a Six Sigma Brown Belt. Dynamic coach, problem solver,
leader and sensei. He is an Alumni of Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU).
He
has had his research
published, has been featured in 2 magazines, 1 book and a radio interview.
He co-authored “Decoding Golf's DNA – 150
Methods™.”
With a passion for
golf, Duane plans to Monday qualify as an amateur on the CANTour. He is
the holder of Course Record 64, Fewest Putts 23 and Longest Drive 360 yards (on
the flats with no wind).
